About Us
"Cattail Forest" Bengals is a small cattery in Belmont, a suburb of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Titania, our current queen, replaced our former queen, Tinker Bell, who enjoys retirement in our home after five litters that produced nearly 30 beautiful, healthy kittens.
Years ago when considering names for our cattery, we decided on Cattail Forest because it seemed to carry the fairy-like essence of the Bengal breed. Bengals are so agile, graceful, inquisitive and uniquely marked, they remind us of mystical fairies. With few exceptions, all of the newborn kittens receive fairy names that are used here at Cattail Forest until they go to their "forever homes."
My husband, Steve, is self-employed in the furniture and appliance business and I work at a healthcare organization. Cattail Forest Bengals will remain a small cattery. Titania and Tinker Bell enjoy free run of the house and enjoy teasing their housemate, Maggie, a Border Terrier. Kittens are raised with much handling, socialization, love and affection.
We enjoy membership with The International Cat Association (TICA) and The International Bengal Cat Society (TIBCS). Cattail Forest is registered with TICA.
